It used to be there would be a butcher just down the block, and you could walk on in and get fresh beef from local ranches. I recently discovered Crowd Cow, and realized I could have the same beef quality these butchers provided, but with all the convenience that comes with buying online.

With everything going into industrially-raised beef, I just didn’t know what I was getting when I bought supermarket beef. With Crowd Cow, there are no surprises. You can learn all about the ranch where your beef was raised, and how it was never fed growth hormones or unnecessary antibiotics. You even get to learn about the rancher and their story. It feels great knowing exactly where my food comes from.

Even better, everything I order is individually vacuum-sealed and flash frozen. I can use exactly what I want, and then keep the rest in the freezer to stay fresh until I want it. Nothing goes to waste.

Get Hard-To-Find Options

I love making oxtail ragu and braised beef shanks. But finding those particular cuts can be really hard. Not the case with Crowd Cow. They offer cuts from every part of the cow so whether you want a classic tenderloin or New York strip steak, or something more exotic like kidneys or marrow bones, you can find them.
