Culver Duck is located in the heart of Amish Country in Northern Indiana and part of an honest, hardworking community of farmers. Ducks are born in Culver’s own state-of-the-art hatchery, and raised cage-free in spacious, open-air barns with plenty of room to roam and ample food and water. They follow a never-ever program (never administered antibiotics or hormones). Owned by veterinarian, Dr. Joe Jurgielewicz, Culver Duck is raising the bar for humane care — in fact, they’re the only duck company to have earned the Animal Welfare certification. Their animal welfare program is based on the “Five Freedoms of Animal Welfare.” Animals have good welfare when their physical, emotional and behavioral needs are met.
