COMPOST
Compost Foam in any residential or commercial compost facility. Our backyard-compostable packaging will biodegrade in less than 60 days in a moist soil environment.
DISSOLVE
Our foam dissolves in water! Run warm water over small pieces in the sink and watch it "melt" safely down the drain — it even biodegrades in both seawater and freshwater.
BURN
Bring it full circle and light up the barbecue with our foam. Our new eco-friendly packaging burns cleanly and safely in fireplaces, firepits and power plants.
The Fine Print
What makes this foam unique?
It's a biodegradable, eco-friendly foam material we're now using for our insulated packaging. It’s an ASTM D6400 and BPI certified closed-cell foam that's backyard compostable, biodegradable and water soluble.
What are the additional benefits?
Manufacturing this foam requires 70% less energy and produces 80% less greenhouse gases than petroleum-based foams.
What’s our foam made out of?
The primary raw material is U.S. grown, non-GMO cornstarch, an annually renewable resource.
Does the foam perform as well as Styrofoam packaging?
In summer 2018, our tests using real customers in New Mexico and Arizona in 100+ degree weather showed better performance than our Styrofoam packaging. The foam kept our meat frozen, even when we left test units on a cement patio in the sun at surface temperatures peaking over 130 degrees.
