Meatball Sub Sandwich
This easy-to-prepare, hearty meal is always a crowd-pleaser! But really, what’s not to love about a juicy Italian meatball covered with your favorite marinara and ooey-gooey cheese on a toasted bun?

Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 2/3 C Italian Bread Crumbs
- ¼ C parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp Italian Seasoning
- 2 Tbs parsley, chopped
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp pepper
- 1 tsp garlic, minced
- 1 egg, beaten
- ½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- Marinara sauce
- Baguette or hoagie roll
- Shredded Mozzarella Cheese

- 35 minutes
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F.
- In a large bowl, combine breadcrumbs, parmesan cheese, and seasonings and mix well. Add in meat and egg, then mix gently with your hands until well incorporated. Create about 12, 1-inch meatballs (the size of golf balls) from mix and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake about 20-25 minutes until cooked through.
- In a large saucepan, add sauce and bring to a simmer. Add cooked meatball to the sauce.
- Toast sliced hoagie or baguette, then spoon 3-4 meatballs and sauce over to create a sub. Sprinkle with cheese, if desired.
- Broil subs for 2 minutes until cheese is melted and is beginning to brown.
- Serve immediately.
