Zero marbling on the steak. Though I cooked it medium rare it was tough and chewy with a surprising amount of gristle.

Arrived warm. Ice packs were melted. Had to throw straight in the trash. Unusual for CrowdCow, normally impressed with their packaging and shipping. Not a rating on the steak, as I didn’t get to try it.

Very thin and poorly trimmed. I also blame Crowd Cow that says that “ Each cut will vary by size ( for our NY Strip steak we have 3/4" minimum thickness), shape, color, and even vary by taste and texture. The image on our website is only for the representation of the piece.”. None of this is explained on the website.

The meat we received was spoiled. When the steaks were cooked they had a foul smell and taste to them that we had to the throw away both steaks. This is extremely disappointing given we’re paying higher prices for meat that is supposed to be higher quality and unfortunately this was not the case this time. I’ve had this subscription for sometime and this has never happened before.
