Roast Beef Sandwiches with Roasted Bone Marrow
Roasted marrow gives new life to the tried and true roast beef sandwich.
Servings : 5 Prep Time: 10 minutes Total Time: 20 minutes
- 3 lbs marrow bones
- 5 small baguettes or hoagie rolls
- ½ lb roast beef
- Dijon mustard
- Green leaf lettuce
- One tomato, sliced
- 5 slices cheddar or provolone cheese
- Alfalfa sprouts
Roast marrow bones at 400 degrees for 15 minutes. Let cool slightly but keep warm. Scoop out marrow and spread a bit inside one half of a baguette. On top of the marrow, place the roast beef, cheese, lettuce, and tomoato. On the baguette top, spread mustard and mayonnaise. Complete for all five sandwiches.
