Shabu Shabu is a Japanese hotpot dish of thinly sliced meat and vegetables boiled in water and served with dipping sauces. The term comes from the “swish swish” sound of the meat being stirred into the cooking pot.
While there are many other traditional Japanese dishes that can be prepared with this cut such as teriyaki steak rolls, nikujaga, gyudon, & niku udon, this is also the perfect cut for an outer-worldly Philly cheesesteak.
