Smoked Sea Salt - Cold-smoked hickory sea salt is swirled into creamy, slow-cultured butter to create a savory, smoky flavor with a slightly spicy finish that is a perfect complement to all your grilled goodies from fish, to oysters to your butcher shop sirloin steak.

Roasted Garlic, Basil & Parsley - We find the freshest basil in season and the freshest garlic. We then slowly roast the garlic bulbs in low heat until they are tender and sweet. These natural companions are carefully combined with high-quality butter.

Banner Butter offers a creamier mouthfeel and deeper flavor than your regular store-bought butter — all due to the quality and freshness of their cream, a higher butterfat percentage, their slow culturing and churning process, and their meticulous attention to detail. They start with cream from hormone-free, grass-fed cows (from local Southeastern dairy farmers), and slowly ripen it before churning, letting the good bacteria form and give the butter the slight tang and deeper flavor they are known for. You’ll first notice the difference and higher quality in their butter from its color — a rich, golden hue — and taste it upon first bite.

A Small-Batch Approach

In 2012, Drew McBath and his wife Elizabeth started Banner Butter with a passion to bring simple, deep-flavored butter to consumers across the country. They studied 19th century dairy journals, talked to butter makers, and started their first batch with just a small kitchen mixer. Today, the process is more or less the same — simple, natural, and using the very best ingredients and an old-world culturing method. With no added flavor, no lactic acid and no “extras”, this is the way butter is supposed to taste.
