This is my second chuck roast from Crowd Cow. Not to repeat myself, but this made the best pot roast I've made... since the last one. I probably won't make another until the fall/winter when it cools off...but tonight's dinner was one for the memory books. I seared it in bacon fat and olive oil, braised it in homemade veg broth with a lot of seasonings (herbs, Worchestershire, red wine. and onion.) Cooked low and slow in a 230 degree oven. Added red potato, carrot, pearl onions and sauteed mushrooms for the last 60-90 minutes. Lovely meal. Crowd Cow has been a godsend during this past 14 months.

Disgusting. Please do not buy and frankly do not sell. It was a big block of fat. It was not edible. Very disappointing.
