Bacon is just about as simple as stove-top cooking gets. All you really need is a cast-iron or stainless steel skillet, a drizzle of olive oil or butter, and the bacon strips.


  • Heat a large pan to medium-high heat, add a tablespoon of olive oil or butter and let it melt.
  • Add strips of bacon (they should sizzle) and cook 90 seconds to 3 minutes each side, to desired crispness.
