The bird I received had freezer burn, several dark spots around the wings and what looks like a bruised/broken wing with red spots and ruptured blood vessels, suggesting the animal was mishandled and injured close to the time of slaughter. Given the freezer burn and dark spots, I assume the chicken had been in the freezer for a while. I cannot tell for sure since there is no packing date.
