American Quality. Five-Star Flavor

You won’t find cleaner, fresher Steelhead Trout than that from Riverence. This is seafood so pure and close to nature, it’s as if you caught it yourself. Milder than salmon but with a similar butteriness and flakiness, this Trout is something that will change the minds of non-seafood lovers to one of appreciation. It’s a quick-cooking fish with a thinner skin, which crisps up beautifully when pan-searing, and is ready in just 5 to 10 minutes. Deep, red-orange in color, hand-trimmed and pinbone-free, and completely free of antibiotics or hormones, this Steelhead Trout is truly the gold standard of American seafood.

Raised to the Finest Standards

Located in Idaho’s Magic Valley, Riverence harnesses the unique power of one of the world’s purest resources: crystal clear Rocky Mountain spring water. Naturally filtered as it bubbles up through layers of volcanic rock, this pristine water comes to the surface perfectly clean and at the perfect temperature to raise trout. It continuously flows through and powers the fish-runs by gravity, which helps Trout develop stress-free, swimming and building up muscle as they would in nature. Eggs are also raised alongside Idaho’s Snake River, carefully selected from their own elite bloodline so that the best traits are passed on. Fed on a diet that mimics what they’d have in the ocean, Trout thrive and achieve the coloring and health qualities just as their wild counterparts — all with minimal environmental impact.

Minimizing Carbon Impact

Nothing goes to waste at Riverence and the farm’s natural spring waters flow in clean, and come out cleaner. Waste that the trout produce as they grow is captured, used and sold as fertilizer to local farms, and after harvesting, any bones and scraps are upcycled into pet food. They also produce clean energy from the water they use — siphoning it into a zero impact hydroelectric generator and selling it back to the grid. Their land-based system also protects the environment; it means no escapes, no microplastics, no PCBs, year-round consistency, and full control over the operation. Because of their farming techniques and location, Riverence steelhead trout is considered a “Best Choice” green by the Monterey Bay Aquarium’s Seafood Watch program — the highest possible rating fish can achieve
