Chili-Braised Brisket Point
You'll never believe how beer and canned chili can serve as the perfect braising liquid for brisket point.
Servings : 16 Prep Time: 10 minutes Total Time: 3 hours and 45 minutes
- 6-8 lb. brisket point
- 2 yellow onions, sliced thinly
- 2 12 fl oz cans of Beer
- 24 oz canned chilli
- 16 oz canned corn
- 1.5 cups brown sugar
Preheat oven to 325F. Season the brisket point liberally with salt and pepper. Let sit in a glass baking dish for at least 30 minutes.
Top the brisket with sliced onions and corn.
In a bowl, mix the beer, chili, and brown sugar. Pour this mixture over the brisket. Partially cover the dish with aluminum foil and back for 3 hours. Finish uncovered for 30 minutes.
Optional dinner additions: Serve with cilantro, sour cream, avocado, corn bread or Hawaiian Bread.
