Corned Beef and Cabbage

One of the simplest dishes to prepare with minimum input for maximum output. Set and forget our incredible corned beef and cook on the stovetop, slow cooker or oven (our favorite!) for a few hours while your kitchen fills up with a delicious aroma that'll keep you counting the seconds till dinnertime.

Corned Beef and Cabbage

Ingredients

  • Corned Beef
  • 4 carrots, peeled and chopped
  • 6-8 yellow potatoes, quartered
  • 1 head of cabbage, cored and sliced into wedges

Instructions

  1. Place corned beef in dutch oven or large pot and cover with water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to a simmer.
  2. Simmer beef for 2-3 hours (50 minutes per pound) until it's fork tender.
  3. 20-30 minutes before the beef is done, add potatoes and carrots and carrots until almost tender. Add cabbage and cook additional 15 minutes until tender.
  4. Remove vegetables and place in a separate dish for serving. Remove meat and place on cutting board, allowing it to rest for at least 5-10 minutes before carving.
  5. Serve with horseradish or a sauce of your choosing!
