How To Grill Salmon

Two routes: cedar plank for woodsmoke, or pineapple slices for sweetness and a non-stick layer.

Two grilling methods for wild salmon, each with its own flavor. Pick whichever suits the night.

Cedar Plank Method

  1. Soak a cedar plank in water for at least 30 minutes before grilling.
  2. Season the salmon and place it on the plank.
  3. Preheat the grill to 400°F (medium-high).
  4. Place the plank in the center of the grill.
  5. Grill about 20 to 30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F.
  6. Remove from the grill and rest for 5 minutes.

Pineapple Method

  1. Place seasoned salmon on pineapple slices over indirect heat. The pineapple keeps the salmon from sticking and adds a touch of sweetness.
  2. Grill about 20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F.
  3. Remove from the grill and rest for 5 minutes.
