How to Cook a New York Strip
- 12 oz New York Strip steak
- Salt & pepper
- Prep time
- 5 minutes
- Cook time
- 10 minutes
- Heat oil in a cast-iron skillet over high heat.
- Lightly oil and season both sides of your thawed steak with salt and pepper.
- Cook on one side for 4 minutes
- Flip and cook an additional 4 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 135℉
- Remove from heat and let the steak rest, covered, for 5 minutes.
- Slice & enjoy!
