I have ordered this cut from mishima reserve before and it was a much better experience than this time. I cooked in sous vide to a med rare and cut against the grain yet the meat was very very tough. It was a little embarrassing because i cooked this steak for someone who hasnt had wagyu before and they were not impressed. This was not like the top sirloin i have ordered before because this was below average for a regular steak let alone a wagyu. It was as tender as an eye round steak.

I got 3 rotten steaks in my last order. When I defrosted the steaks the packaging was not sealed and leaked everywhere.

As beautiful as these looked, they were surprisingly flavorless. We had tried them on the last shipment and had the same reaction. We thought maybe that we just had a coupling of duds and ordered again and really generously seasoned them the second time, but the meat was flavorless again. Not sure what’s wrong.
