Sous Vide Kalua Pork

This recipe for sous vide Kalua Pork is easy to follow and results in a delicious, tender pork roast. The pork is seasoned with sea salt and liquid smoke and cooked in a water bath for 8 hours. The shredded pork can be served on its own or used in tacos, burritos, or other recipes.

Sous Vide Kalua Pork

Ingredients

  • Pork Butt (or Shoulder) Roast
  • Sea salt
  • Liquid smoke

Instructions

  1. Heat the water bath to 170 degrees F.
  2. Trim your thawed Pork Butt of most excess fat.
  3. Season your roast liberally with sea salt
  4. Place Pork Butt in Sous Vide bag.
  5. Add Liquid Smoke to the bag.
  6. Vacuum seal the bag & place it into the hot water bath.
  7. Cover your pot with plastic wrap to keep the water from evaporating.
  8. Let cook for 8 hours.
  9. Remove pork from the water bath and sous vide bag, shred and enjoy!
