Ingredients
- Crowd Cow Brats or Sausages
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1 tbsp dijon mustard
- 4-5 tsp mild curry powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 2 tsp worcestershire
- 4 tbsp beef broth
- 2-3 tbsp water
- olive oil
- Prep time
- 10 minutes
- Cook time
- 20 minutes
Instructions
- Thaw your bratwursts or sausages fully.
- Add ketchup and dijon mustard into a saucepan on low heat — just enough to warm it up.
- Once the sauce is warmed, add in dry spices and mix well.
- Add in the worcestershire, beef broth, and 2 tablespoons of water. If you want it a little runnier, add in an additional tablespoon of water. Let simmer on low heat for 5 minutes.
- Pan fry your sausages or bratwursts until cooked through. To do so, heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Removed thawed sausages from packaging then place in a hot pan and cook, undisturbed, for 2 minutes. Rotate sausages and continue to cook 2 minutes per side until evenly browned. Add a splash of water to the hot pan to steam the sausages. Remove from heat and let rest for 2 minutes.
- Once your bratwursts or sausages are cooked, top them with the currywurst sauce and serve with a side of pretzels or french fries. Any leftover sauce will stay fresh in the fridge for a few days.
