How to Cook Bone-in Ribeye Steak

A simple cast iron method for a bone-in ribeye, with garlic in the pan for aromatics.

Directions

  1. Lightly oil the steak and season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat oil in a cast iron skillet over high heat.
  3. Add diced garlic to the pan.
  4. Cook the ribeye for 3 minutes.
  5. Flip and cook for another 3 minutes, then continue flipping every minute until the internal temperature reaches 135°F.
  6. Let it rest, covered, for 5 minutes.
  7. Remove the bone, slice, and serve.
