A simple, beefy chuck eye steak that's perfect for a midweek meal. The steak is marinated in oil, salt, pepper, and garlic, then seared in a pan until cooked to your liking.

Steps

  1. Remove the thawed steak from packaging and place on a cutting board.
  2. Drizzle with oil and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Add garlic and herbs of your choice to the pan and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  5. Sear your steak about 2-3 minutes per side.
  6. Baste with the juices.
  7. Sear edges until nicely browned — 1 minute per side.
  8. Continue flipping your steak until the internal temperature reaches 135°F.
  9. Remove from the pan and let rest for 5-10 minutes.
  10. Slice, serve, and enjoy.
