How to Cook Lobster

Oven-broiled lobster tails with garlic butter — clean, quick, and ready for a special weeknight.

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 450°F.
  2. Using kitchen shears, cut through the top middle of the shell down to the tail.
  3. Pull the shell open.
  4. Pull the meat up and lay it on top of the shell.
  5. Melt butter with minced garlic, salt, and pepper, and brush onto the meat.
  6. Place the lobster tails on a baking sheet and into the oven.
  7. Cook for 12 to 15 minutes.
  8. Pull once the tails reach an internal temperature of 135°F.
  9. Serve.
