Bone broth is endlessly versatile. Sip it warm from a mug as an alternative to coffee or tea, or use its rich, protein-packed flavor as a base for soups, stews, and sauces. It also makes a nutrient-dense substitute for liquid in smoothies, rice, pasta — even cocktails.
Cook from frozen
For best results, thaw the bone broth in the refrigerator for 24 hours. Once defrosted, pour the desired amount into a small stockpot. Heat over medium heat until simmering, stirring occasionally.
Quick thaw
Place the frozen bone broth — still sealed in its plastic bag — in a bowl or sink of hot water for 5–10 minutes, or until it can be broken into pieces. Open the bag, invert the contents into a small stockpot, and follow the instructions above.
Reheating
Gently heat on the stove to your desired temperature.
