Cheeseburger Appe-sliders

A fun twist on the classic hamburger, sliders make a perfect appetizer or, served two or three at a time, a full entree.

Method

Directions

  1. 1
Add oil to a heavy-bottomed pan and heat to medium-high.
  2. 2
While the pan is heating, separate the beef into 6 equal portions and shape into 1/2-inch-high patties.
  3. 3
Sprinkle patties on both sides with salt and pepper.
  4. 4
Add the patties to the pan and cook for 4 minutes.
  5. 5
Flip the patties and cook for another 4 minutes.
  6. 6
Add 1-2 cheese slices to the top of each patty and let melt for one minute.
  7. 7
Slice the buns in half and toast until lightly golden.
  8. 8
Top each bun bottom with a burger patty, 2 tomato slices, and 2 arugula leaves. Place the bun top on each patty.
  9. 9
Serve on a platter with ketchup on the side.
