How to Grill New York Strips

Marbled, tender New York strips need just oil, salt, pepper, and a 6-minute grill for the ultimate steak night.

With great marbling and tenderness, New York strips always taste fantastic. With few ingredients and minimal time, they're quick and easy to prepare on the grill for the ultimate steak night.

Preheat and season

Preheat the grill to 400°F. Oil the steaks and season with salt and pepper.

Grill direct

Place the steaks at the center of the grill over direct heat. Cook for 1.5 minutes, then rotate. Cook for 1.5 more minutes, then flip. Cook for 1.5 minutes, then rotate again.

Finish to temp

Total cook time is about 6 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 150°F.

Rest and serve

Remove, let sit briefly, and enjoy.
