Chili-Braised Brisket Point

Beer and canned chili turn out to be the perfect braising liquid for a slow-cooked brisket point.

    Preheat oven to 325°F. Season the brisket point liberally with salt and pepper. Let sit in a glass baking dish for at least 30 minutes.

    Top the brisket with sliced onions and corn.

    In a bowl, mix the beer, chili, and brown sugar. Pour this mixture over the brisket. Partially cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 3 hours. Finish uncovered for 30 minutes.

    Optional dinner additions: serve with cilantro, sour cream, avocado, corn bread, or Hawaiian bread.
