Kagawa Prefecture Governor's Speech about Olive Wagyu
In October 2017, I met with Kagawa Prefecture's Governor and senior staff. Watch below or check out the transcript of my speech in Japanese, which outlined my journey from living on a farm homestay in Hokkaido 20 years ago to a current milestone: bringing Olive Wagyu from Japan to America.
Crowd Cow's founder and CEO Joe Heitzeberg visits with Kagawa Prefecture Governor Keizō Hamada. Crowd Cow brought Olive Wagyu to the United States for sale to consumers only for the first time ever in 2017. The company maintains direct relationships with Kagawa's top Olive Wagyu producers and has exclusive access to their extremely rare beef.
Olive Wagyu is raised on a handful of farms in and around Shodoshima Island in Japan's smallest prefecture, Kagawa. Olive Wagyu brings everything you've come to love about Wagyu, but is far, far rarer and packs a more powerful umami flavor.
