Pan-searing in butter and avocado oil is the easiest way to cook sea scallops. Our scallops are dry, which preserves their natural sweetness and helps them sear and caramelize.
Method
Rinse and pat the scallops dry with a paper towel.
Season with salt.
Heat a pan to medium-high. Add butter and avocado oil and let melt until simmering.
Add the scallops to the pan, keeping them from touching each other.
Cook for 1.5 minutes on each side, until golden brown.
Serve immediately.
