How to Grill Salmon

Grilling salmon is simple, fast, and flavorful — try a cedar plank or pineapple slices for extra flavor.

A Crowd Cow Field Guide

Grilling salmon is simple, fast, and flavorful. Level up your fish dinner by cooking on a cedar plank or mix it up and try cooking on sliced pineapple.

Steps

  1. Season and place salmon on a cedar plank or pineapple slices to prevent sticking. Soak planks in water for at least 30 minutes before grilling. Pineapple adds citrus flavor.
  2. Preheat grill to 400°F (medium-high).
  3. Place in the center of the grill.
  4. Grill about 20 to 30 minutes or until the internal temp reaches 145°F.
  5. Remove from grill and rest for 5 minutes.
