    Preheat oven to 400°F.

    Season fillets with salt and pepper.

    While the oven preheats, melt butter in a cast iron skillet or heavy-bottomed pan. Add garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes. Stir in lemon juice and dill.

    Carefully place fillets in the skillet and spoon the butter sauce on top. Lay lemon slices over the fillets, spoon on more butter, and sprinkle with additional dill.

    Place the skillet on the middle rack of the oven and bake for about 10 minutes.

    Remove the skillet from the oven and increase the oven temperature to 500°F (or set to broil).

    Return the skillet to the top rack near the heat source for 1 to 2 minutes to brown.

    Plate fillets, top with butter sauce and a fresh squeeze of lemon, and garnish with dill.
