Based in the Dutch province of Zeeland, The Netherlands, Kingfish Zeeland taps into the pristine marine estuary water of the Eastern Scheldt, a Natura 2000 nature reserve, to deliver a healthy, antibiotic-free premium delicacy: the Dutch Yellowtail.
Raised on land in the Netherlands, Dutch Yellowtail is available year-round and has become increasingly popular as an alternative to endangered species. Also known as kingfish or hiramasa, yellowtail is also used interchangeably with its close cousin, Hamachi. Dutch Yellowtail is a high grade sashimi, grilled, or smoked classic. With a mild flavor and a firm, snappy bite, this fish is delicious no matter how you prepare it.
Kingfish Zeeland is on a mission to make the perfect fish. The journey begins at the hatchery, where they have their own brood stock (parent fish) which supplies them with enough eggs to produce fish year-round! Selective breeding ensures they raise the healthiest and highest quality fish possible.
